How much should I pay for rent each month?

This is often a difficult question for people. What is reasonable for a person or family to pay for their home each month? A good guideline is that you should not budget more than 32% of your household income before taxes for Rent including Heating costs (if not included with rent).

Example: If your household income is $45,000.00 per year, that works out to be $3750.00 each month before taxes. The maximum monthly housing costs should therefore be aprox: $1200.00.

Pets?

Pets are a part of your family and Reliable Home Rentals & Property Management understands this. In Nova Scotia however, the landlord or property owner can decide weather or not to permit pets on the premises. Please let us know when applying for a property if you have any pets so we can find a pet friendly landlord for your family!
